Horse Riding Ireland – Go cross country jumping at Slieve Aughty Centre

Covering about 25 acres, our cross country course offers a variety of challenges, including ditches, logs, stone walls, drops, banks, and water complexes.  Warm up in our 30×50 metre all weather outdoor arena, or go for a short warm-up trek in the forest surrounding the cross country course.  Additional jumping lanes are tucked away along some of our trekking routes too!

A perfect schooling ground, bring your own horse and avail of the facilities, or book a cross country lesson or ride with one of our qualified instructors.  For those wishing to make cross country jumping the focus of their holiday, book a Cross Country Jumping Holiday and spend a week learning the skills needed to be confident jumping in the open.  Once you have mastered the cross country course, come back for a pre-hunting or hunting holiday and join the thrill of the hunt over Ireland’s famous stone walls.

The cross country course is also available for hire for riding clubs and pony clubs and makes a great day out for members.

After your ride, relax in the restaurant for complimentary tea and coffee, or stay for a delicious home-cooked organic lunch or our famous pancakes with sweet toppings.
